Who is our service for?

Sandwell Healthy Minds provides both psychological therapies service for people who are experiencing common mental health problems such as depression, anxiety and stress as well as supporting people on their personal journey towards a meaningful and satisfying life, where hope, opportunity and choice are the key elements through our Recovery College. The Service is open to anyone who is age 16 and over and registered with a Sandwell GP.

How do we help?

Once you have been assessed and we have agreed how we are best able to meet your needs, our service offers you a choice of treatments either through our Recovery College or a range of individual and group talking therapies. A choice of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Counselling, EMDR and IPT are available. In addition we have a number of specialist services that provide therapy for:

The Recovery College enables people with mental health challenges to have the same opportunities in life as everyone else. We endeavour to support people on their personal journey towards a meaningful and satisfying life, where hope, opportunity and choice are the key elements. The college aims to help people to become experts in their own self-care, and enable family, friends, carers and staff to better understand mental health. Courses are co-produced with users, carers and professionals working in partnership. The Recovery College also provides vocational support for people with employment needs.

How do you access the service?

There are several ways to access our service. Referrals can be made by your GP or you can contact us directly on the phone or by completing the self referral option here. if you wish to use this please click here to do so.

What happens in an emergency?

The service does not operate an out of hours service. Crises experienced by existing clients would be directed to Sandwell’s Crisis Home Treatment Team or primary care services.
